Communication experts from American Samoa, Cook Islands, Fiji, French Polynesia, Marshall Islands, Nauru, New Caledonia, Niue, Northern Mariana Islands, Palau, Samoa, Solomon Islands, Tokelau, Tonga, Tuvalu, and Vanuatu come together for the Pacific Risk Communication Workshop, held in Nadi, Fiji from 7-10 November 2023. The workshop was jointly organized by the World Health Organization (WHO) and the Pacific Community (SPC).

World Diabetes Day: Why health education is important 

This year’s theme for World Diabetes Day is ‘education to protect tomorrow’. It is a recognition that today we have more access to science literature and resources to improve the quality of our lives than at any time in history.

Prioritising mental health, selfcare, wellbeing and safety at work: an ethical imperative

April 28th is the World Day for Safety and Health at Work, and the Pacific Community (SPC) is commemorating this day by organising and launching a series of advocacy tools including selfcare journals, e-cards, and “3min Pacific break” videos that contribute to physical, mental and psychosocial well-being at the Workplace.
