Did you know that our body is made up of 75% water? That's why it's important to stay hydrated, especially in hot weather.

Drinking enough water helps regulate body temperature and makes it easier to pass waste through the urine.

It is recommended to drink at least 2L of water per day. However, for people who work outdoors, and for those who play sports, more than two liters of water may be needed to stay well hydrated.

Blood is vital to life and for many people blood donors are their lifeline. Because of the constant need for blood and the fact that supply can be at alarming low levels more often than not, blood collecting organizations are trying to reach as many possible donors as they can.

In the Pacific, PICTS strive to achieve the target of having an adequate supply of safe blood, 100% of which comes from volunteer non-paid blood donors.

Remember: You do not need extra strength or food to donate blood!
