Pacific Heads of Nursing & Midwifery (PHoNM) Meeting

THEME: "NURSES TOGETHER: A FORCE FOR GLOBAL HEALTH"

The Pacific Heads of Nursing and Midwifery Meeting (PHONM) acknowledges the importance of nursing in Pacific Island Countries and territories. It provides a platform to support nursing priorities and policies in the region and is an executive-level oversight for regional nursing functions in the Pacific.

The main objectives of the meeting are to review, discuss and make recommendations to the Pacific Heads of Health on topics of interest and country priorities.

Topics for discussion would be under the following thematic areas:

Workforce
Education
Leadership
Clinical Governance
Universal Health Coverage & Primary Care
Heath Emergencies
Health Information
Research

The key outcomes and recommendations from the meeting will be presented to the Pacific Heads of Health meeting.
